Art in Bloom 2015, Minneapolis Institute of Art
The 32nd Art in Bloom wrapped up today. Presented by the Friends of the Institute, it is a showcase of more than 150 floral arrangements designed to interpret artwork from the museum’s collection. This is my 2nd year as what is called a “pedestal artist.” I delivered my arrangement on Wednesday and got to see the floral sponsors doing their thing.
Koehler & Dramm is a local wholesale florist and floral institute whose display welcomed us at the Third Street entrance with a cascade of flowers. The Institute of Floristry’s description read, “The design team worked with over 3,000 flowers to complete ‘Let the Flowers Flow.’ The design is based out of a 7-foot tall, moss-covered jardinière with a spout above pouring out fresh flowers.”
